LSAT or Bust

So we are on the "home stretch" of the LSAT. Next Monday, June 16th there will be thousands of hopeful future attorney's taking the LSAT. They only offer this a few times a year and Josh is having to drive all the way to College Station just to get the chance to take it now. He tried all testing centers within 100 miles of Dallas and Austin (where our parents live) but they were all full...and that was 2 months ago!

He has been studying and practicing and if the Lord blesses his efforts accordingly, he should do really well. His goal is a 170 or better, but if it's between 165-170 he will take it and run!! He has done several practice exams and he used to score 166-169 pretty consistantly but most recently he has been getting between 170-175! The highest score that a person can get is a 180 and to get 170 or better means that you are in the top 1% nationwide so universities are willing to offer some great scholarships to these individuals. This is motivation for wanting to do so well...he needs a scholarship.

Josh is SUPER intelligent and has been very diligent to put his all into this while trying to keep it all in perspective with God's plan. He is really going into this with the attitude that he will do his best and leave it up to the Lord on where He will lead. Josh's dad offered some great counsel to him a few weeks back that has really stuck with him. He basically said to be careful of making this an idol and basing his value off of it. Josh is doing good at basing his value in Christ and not this test. I'm just so proud of him and how he is handling it all!

I'll keep you updated on how he does, but please keep him in your prayers, especially next Monday!
